I'm still trying to simplify both posting and commenting. I'm now at the stage where I am attempting to send one post a day and visit and comment only those who visit my blog and leave a comment. Usually when I visit I leave only one comment which serves as a reciprocal friendly message as well as an acknowledgment.

As expected there are pros and cons to this system. Some of the pros include the fact that
anybody who visits me and comments is never ignored - having few 'friends' listed, I don't get snowed under having to read too many posts and send too many comments - and by not visiting and commenting randomly I don't end up in an embarrassing muddle.

Some of the cons - a few bloggers comment frequently and when I check their blogs I find that since they may only post once or twice a week, I have already commented on their most recent post - by not randomly visiting a great number of posts I am no doubt missing out on lots of news that might be of interest to me - and unfortunately by waiting for visitors I have lost contact with quite a few bloggers.

Confession: Occasionally I come across a random post where I feel I should take time to post a comment - only occasionally.
