Remember ABBA?
Agnetha and Bjorn married on July 6 1971 in the little church of Verum, a parish of Skane in Southern Sweden. More than 3,000 people invaded the village to witness the happy event. Agnetha arrived in a horse drawn carriage.
Mendelssohn's Wedding March rang out when she entered the church, followed by "Wedding" a Hep Stars song played on the organ by Benny. When they came out, the crowd surged forward. The couple fought their way to the waiting carriage, and a horse stood on Agnetha's foot.
Agnetha recalls "I must say that I was overjoyed, the ceremony was definitely one of the best days of my life. The crowd shouted 'We want to see the newlyweds!'. Bjorn and myself were forced to appear on the first floor balcony. We were treated like a royal couple".
The couple decided to separate in 1978 and Agnetha moved out of their home on Christmas night. In January 1979 the couple filed for divorce, which was finalised in June 1980.
Seemingly very sad indeed.

Yes very sad, but some good songs as a result.
