Very treasured memories.
We had no child-proof tops on medicine bottles.
When we rode our bikes, we never wore helmets.
As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.
Riding on the back of the farm truck - loose - was always great fun.
We drank water from the garden hose.
We shared soft drink from the same bottle with our friends, and nobody died from this.
We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......
WE WERE MOSTLY OUTSIDE EXERCISING IN THE FRESH AIR.
Times have changed.

I remember all of these and yes times have changed. I am strating to think and compare my childhood and that of my son. Perhaps it was the lack of technology that made me have my love of the wild and nature, yet without it would I have remembered the child?
