' I am delighted to learn in regard to fasting that at long last your beliefs are not the end all.

Remember telling me that I really should not pick flowers. Even if my belief was the same as yours, I would still pick flowers for somebody very special to make them and probably myself very happy. The only reasonable restriction should be not to abuse a belief.

Common sense must prevail regardless of beliefs and intentions. Both health and happiness must be considered, as you have shown by sensibly controlling your fasting. Well done! '
