I was very surprised that at least one of your UK countries was not listed.
That's probably because we're currently being lead by a totally incompetent government under a Prime Minister that we, the public, did not have a chance to vote for or against, and who keeps taxing us by stealth while telling us that there are fewer taxes than there were under the previous, democratically elected administration.
I could go further, but I can feel the bile rising already.

I haven't lived in any of those countries, so I am afraid I can not have any opinion about it. But I am curious, what was the criterions?

Simply based on a popularity poll.
When will you be heading home?
Popularity polls? But who have been voting then? People that have immigrated to those countries, or people in general? I mean, there are lots of people in America, France, Italy etc, and if they would all vote for their own country, they would surely get on that list.
What surprises me is that Denmark is on that list. I would have put Norway there instead, as it is a wealthy country with low taxes, beautiful scenery and low unemployment I believe!
I am home! I still have almost three weeks left of my holiday but I will spend those weeks at home. There is no better place than home, after all!

Yes, you are absolutely right in regard to public polls. They in can fact be very misleading.
Thank you for your nomination of Denmark which deserves lots of support for the reasons that you listed.
Well, on second thoughs, I don't think the taxes in Norway are very low but at least they are not as high as in Denmark, which is on top of the tax list (they have just passed Sweden, I believe). I don't think any of the Scandinavian countries are very cheap to live in, but we have a high social standard generally.

I'm not in the least bit surprised that the UK didn't feature on this list. Who would vote? Certainly not the people who live here.

I'd definitely agree with Luxembourg being there. My brother has lived there for the last 15 years, and he loves it there.
