I have always found that a smile goes a long way as well. Frowns and friends don't seem to match.

The words make sense, but often when people disagree, they are unable to remain objective in their arguments, that is when people become disagreeable I think.

That is true. Too often the argument becomes subjective with 'mud slinging' and personal insults. Political 'debates' too often turn that way.
