Odds and ends
What We Know
1. As he is only 6 weeks old he still has the name of 'Puppy'.
2. He was abandoned but fortunately ended up at the local SPCA.
3. Our daughter Beverly spotted him at the SPCA.
4. She volunteered to take Puppy home and care for him till he is old enough for his 'shots'.
5. Beverly brought Puppy here this afternoon to meet us.

Aww, he's absolutely gorgeous. Ohhh I love puppies. Um, he seems to have quite big paws and he looks very much like our dog when she was 8 weeks old - she's a Rottweiler!
My childhood dog had enormous paws as a puppy, but as a terrier mix of some sort the being a big dog was only ever in her mind - along with being invincible.

I'd never heard of a Huntaway so I googled it. Not a breed recognised by the Kennel Club but part of the heritage of Newzealand. You can understand why I thought he looked a little like a Rottie because he's got the same colouring and markings apart from the white chest. Still, they grow to be big dogs, and some of the pictures I've seen on google are not dissimilar to our dog - I'll have to post some pictures now she's grown. Aww, well I hope your daughter decides to keep him, he looks lovely.

Yes, and he is very clean and his shiny coat is as smooth as smooth can be. Beverly says that he really loves his very special regular baths.
