Awaiting the Verdict.

A 4WD rammed boyracers.

A local resident was trying to sleep this week when he was awakened by a car at a nearby tennis club carpark. Once again boyracers were doing donuts on the tennis courts. The man has two children, including an 8 year old, who he won't let outside when the boyracers appear as early as 5.30pm. He and other neighbours are sick and tired of the constant noise and smoke the boyracers are bringing to the housing area.

On this occasion enough was enough. The man was so angered by the boyracers doing burnouts, he went into action and used his four-wheel-drive vehicle to ram the car, writing it off. The police turned up and the boyracers scattered. The smashed up boyracer car was impounded.

The police have yet to make a decision on whether to charge the man who was protecting his family, or the alleged boyracers, or both.

I leave you to be the judge and the jury.

No problem.... the police will let the boy racers off (probably on grounds of their human rights, health and safety etc.), the man will be charges and made an example of (we cannot allow vigilantism blah blah). Once found guilty in the criminal courts, the man will be pursued for damages through the civil courts by the owner of the boyracer car (who will of course win), and 'Justice' will sit back, well pleased, with a smug smile on its face.

In an ideal world, however, the boy racer would be hounded, pursued, and charged with every damn thing the police can think of, found guilty, forced to work ferrying the elderly wherever they wish to go while drive a car that does not more than say, thirty miles an hour. The man would be given a medal, the community would all have a whip round and pay for any repairs to his 4WD (after all, his actions benefitted all of them) and Justice would be able to finally hold its head up high.

No prizes for guessing which it will be, though!

Would you like to stand for the next election? I like your policies and would definitely vote for you.

Thank you, it's a tempting thought but I might turn into a meglamaniac! ;)

I would love to help too but that would be impossible with your ONE vote or maybe TWO if I forgot all about modesty and voted for myself - LOL

Thank you. You have hit the nail on the head. More the pity that there still are so many uncivilized humans among us. Of course too many couldn't care less. Lethargic might be the best descriptive word.

I think Edmund Burke put it well when he said 'ALl that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing' (or something like that! )

Very true, though the Labour government with its 'hangers on' have done a lot in the last 9 years. They have clearly made matters a lot worse!

The situation is now completely out of control. This country, Nanny's Nation has been taken over by gangs and criminals of mainly of one race.

In some regions, racial vigilante groups are being established to protect their own kind from murders and destruction of property.

Of course Nanny, the Prime Minister is handling this horrible matter in her usual way with her magic words. ' No you must not do that.'

End of story.
