How awful - a similar accident happened a couple of years ago (in Wales I think) when a youngster was killed whilst out with his father's cycling club. I don't think the driver had been drinking but failed to manoevre a bend.

Yes, a real shocker. Another example of the crazy way that politicians are shaping our world-wide society.

Its dreadful. Cyclists are so vulnerable. I once saw a car ahead of me plough into a little boy on his bike - the boy swerved into the road without looking - and saw the bike go flying up in the air. We were in he car behind. For a moment we couldn't see where the boy was, and eventually realised he had ended up in the front passenger seat of the car that had hit him. A BMW coming in the other direction also pulled up and the boy was put into it and speeding off to hospital within a minute of the accident. I never found out if he survived.

To as much as witness that dreadful incident would be a great shock. Let's hope that he made a very good recovery.

Same here. They should lose their driving licence for life - if they have one. Never to drive again.

Horrifying - and it just shows you how easily carnage can happen!

A major problem is that the so called Traffic Laws are far too slack.

The politicians are only interested in keeping the criminals on their side to be assured of their vote and by doing so continue to receive the blessing of taxpayers by continuing to receive those big fat salaries and all those extravagant allowances.

And it's the same old story the world over - alas.

...and that explains why in many ways we are going backwards rather than forwards.
