A Free Holiday.

by skip2468 @ 07/05/08 - 08:32:44 pm

With all expenses paid which of the listed countries below would you choose to visit for a holiday?

USA - Australia - China - Japan - India - Canada - Egypt - Brazil

Would you have any special reason/s?

My first choice would be Canada with plenty of space and lots of scenery, including Niagra of course.

Egypt for the antiquities! I've been there before a couple of times, but somehow I keep wanting to go back.....

A very interesting choice. Personally I will be keeping as far away as possible from the war torn Middle East. Yes, I'm worse than a scared chicken - LOL.

There's one country not included here which I should love to visit- New Zealand.
They say, one can see the best of nature there.

Thank you. My modesty prevented me mentioning New Zealand. Or possibly my shyness - LOL.

It's rumoured to be one of the best places on Earth. I'd see it one day before I believe it. ;D

You are right again . The proof of the pudding is in the eating - or something like that - LOL.

Thank you, Prof. Skip, for using the aphorism correctly. Most people say: "The proof is in the pudding." How do you know if you don't eat it? Also why do people say: "The 5 year anniversary of the Iraq War"? That's redundant. "Anniversary" contains the word "year" already. Are these effete slobs wary of ordinal numbers?

From one academic to another Dr. Chatlie thank you for your comment. I think we may have travelled down similar paths when in qso - that will fool them - on ooVoo - LOL.

By the way, have you enjoyed the thrill of commenting on other blogs, or is that yet to be experienced?

No, but remaining on topic, somewhat, after having traveled the world around and seen everything, I enjoy picking up a travel magazine in a waiting room to look for something I might have missed. I've not been disappointed.

Goes to prove that just as nobody knows everything, nobody has travelled everywhere. Not even the most glorified academics - LOL.

The best holidays I've had recently have involved having someone in the destination country to spend quality time with and show me around the place! All of the countries you mention are interesting, but there are many other good choices you have omitted!!!

My humble apology. There is a limit to how many countries can be listed here to meet everybody's possible preference and of course I am unable to read the minds of others, thank goodness based on what we read here at times - LOL.

With all expenses paid, I would probably visit them all! :))

There are many countries on my list on places to visit. From your list, I would choose Australia first and then Japan.

Wondering who or what the attraction/s might be in Australia. We are only a hop and a skip from there so maybe we will see you here - LOL.

Ever since I watched the TV-series "Against the wind", I have wanted to go to Australia. It seems such a beautiful country (and yes, I do think I would find NZ beautiful too). :)

China... plenty of unexplored natural reserve as well as the rich in human history (~5000 years)...
