Overstayers

by skip2468 @ 21/04/08 - 09:54:50 pm

Something For All

A good blogger friend suggested a while back that most blogs would remain active here for only about six months.

With many blogs now appearing only on rare occasions, our friend could be right on the ball.

I have been here for nearly 3 years - am I an overstayer ?

Wondering how long you have been here - more or less than the mentioned 6 months - lol

We hope that your intention is to stay.

I'm well into my third year, and my best friend has been blogging pretty well since the beginning of the century, although her previous on-line diary wasn't a true blog as it didn't allow comments from other people.

That makes you a permanent resident. Congratulations' I read your first blog in the archives recently.

I began here in June 2005.

I hope that you can make it to me easier by now.

It seems to be an off/on problem with non-UK based bloggers, which I don't understand at all. Still, I got you first try this morning.

Stay and never go away.

I have been here since last summer. For me, blogging goes in waves. I have times when I write more frequently and times when I want to do other things than blogging.

My reason not to blog so much at the moment, is that I still haven't got my laptop back, and besides BCUK seem to be playing up at the moment so I only get annoid with all of this! (I hope they will sort the problems out soon!)

Just like all communities, some are permanent residents, some pop in and out and some just pass through.
All are welcome, as far as I'm concerned.
xx

You have hit the nail on the head eg. they come and they go and some may return.

It's a mighty long time since we last met up with each other.

Great to meet again for sure.

I don't know how long I've been blogging on here. How do you find out?

Easy - look at the top right hand side of your home page. Let me know if you succeed.

Oh yes. :yes) Since 25 November 2005. Quite a while then. Is that since I joined up with BCUK, or is that this particular blog, as I had a couple of other blogs on here before this one but got bored with them. That's why I have the daft name of workandbooks - that was supposed to be the subject of a past blog not my username but I must have done something wrong when I signed up so am stuck with it now. :)

That date will be for the blog that you are now using.

We are the unknown contemporaries - This blog started in June 2005. Like you I too have blogged elsewhere but I always seem to end up here - lol.

I think this BCUK is so popular because of the social side. On many blogs you feel like you're on your own out in the wilderness somewhere. It's a pity, because blogger is much more customisable but you kind of never see anyone else there.

I have several blogs. Single Subject Blogs.

One of my own reasons for in activity on some is that initially I had, in some cases, a life time of experiences to 'get off my chest'. You know the saying we all have one book in us.
Once the stories are told we can settle into a more leisurely mode.
