
For a mighty long time my broadband download speed has been variable and slow. After months of unsuccessfully seeking help from my ISP, the axe had to fall.
With no other way to turn, I told them that they had a certain time to fix the nagging problem or else!
Next day the problem was fixed and I now have a good reliable download speed.
The moral of this tale seems to be: It's fine to bend over backwards and be polite and patient for a reasonable time, but not forever.
I know what you mean. You are brought up to be polite and wait for your turn etc, but sometimes you just have to say "I have had enough, do something NOW!" to get them to listen. Good that you got it working in the end!
