Are the three words listed above likely to disappear from our language before many other everyday words ?
The choice seems to be Yes - No - Maybe
My first choice is - Yes - because all three words are apparently becoming less meaningful in the lives of many more people world-wide every day.
Any wish to agree or disagree ?

From a general point of view what you claim seems to carry lots of weight. The crime rate involving youth seems to be recing away.

Working for the Prison Service I have to agree. Most of my 'students' left school before age 15. I take it they must have missed the lesson when they learnt the meaning of the words Respect, Modesty and Responsibility.

No, those youths grow up and mostly turn into human beings and desire as much as we do those three things. So No is my response.

If by 'mostly' you mean say 90 percent rather than say only 60 percent you make a very good point. Do you think that 'mostly' may be as high as 90 pecent ?

Weeeeeell, maybe 80%. The hard nuts round my end have all grown up and started to be polite and respectful. I am always hopeful.
I think we need to bring back some good cheer and optimism! I know lots of youths who look scary but they are sweet-hearts underneath.

My choice is no. Just because it looks like that in the media doesn't mean it's true. I look around me and see that REAL people have these things in abundance. This drip feed of poison from the media is giving us all a warped view, and it's easy to be cynical. My 2p worth, anyway
