MOVING ON !

Great to see lots of new blogs entering the fray. Clearly many of the 'old bloggers' are following the expected trend, lowering the flag and moving on.

As they say, 'every dog has its day' and having been here and done that and accomplished all worthwhile goals, what's the point in hanging around, especially with the obvious lack of transparency by those in the know.

I think it depends if you still think you have something to say. I still enjoy it, and obviously so do you. Your posts always have something new to contribute.

Sounds like you're feeling a bit disillusioned Skip...I don't think people consciously give up on blogging, just some things in life overtake , like someone getting a new job. It's always good to get comments from new bloggers though.

I love it - it sounds just like you, so bright and cheerful no matter what. Moving on, well I guess that's life isn't it.You will be truly missed. Don't forget to leave your 'Post Restrante' .....

I know what you mean. Seems that some people have valid enough reasons for moving on. I think that there is a tendancy to make it this big event but my feelings are if you feel like you need to take a break then just do it. Come back refreshed and ready for action. I sometimes find that I need to take a break and don't blog for a bit until some titbit or interesting thing happens. Often you get people wondering where you've gone. I like to think of myself as on holiday from blog land. It helps keep things fresh.

Skip, I admire bloggers like you, you always have something fresh and interesting to say. For my POV, I've started to adopt the 'if you have not got something interesting to say - don't say it' and at the moment, I seem to have so many personal things going on in my life that people would be bored. On the other hand, I can see how cathartic it would be to jot down feeling with the blog universe and feel that a problem shared is a problem halfed.

Loved Mr Red Buttonman, have you got any more

I haven't ventured very far from my friends sites. It takes so much time just with people I've got to know that I haven't looked much at new blogs.

  Thank you and fine on the red button man - we all have different ways of expressing our feelings - some prefer disgusting language which surprisingly seems to be becoming the accepted way by many here - male and female!

Not by me my friend, I think it only shows lack of flexibility in using language.
It's also disrespectful, which is so important when sharing with people online. It could really freak someone out who is vulnerable and make them feel unsafe.
I'm not coming from a prudish way of thinking, more a being kind to people and being friendly sort of thing.
Swearing comes over as being aggressive to me, there's so many other words that can be used!
